Substance Abuse and Addiction Treatment Programs Who We Treat
Types of Addiction Treatment We are experienced in the creating the “right” program for treatment of many types of substance abuse, including alcoholism, stimulants (cocaine, “crack”, methamphetamines or “meth”), opiates and other depressants (heroin, oxycontin, prescription pain killers), prescription drug addictions and marijuana. Many people suffer from addiction to two or more substances simultaneously. Our skilled addiction treatment staff are trained and experienced at handling these more complex addictions. We also address other behaviors that may complicate addiction recovery, including compulsive gambling, eating disorders, codependency and compulsive sexual behaviors. The type of substance abuse treatment a patient receives depends on many factors, including what substance or substances the person is using, the amount and frequency of use, prior addiction treatment history and motivation to change. All levels of care prepare patients to return to their previous environment with new skills to help maintain sobriety, prevent relapse and continue recovery. Length of Stay for Substance Abuse Treatment Length of stay is determined by medical necessity criteria set forth by insurers along with patient addiction treatment progress and motivation. We encourage prospective patients to contact their insurers so they understand their substance abuse treatment benefits. Each patient’s length of stay is planned, based on where they are, and where they need to be in the recovery process. Substance Abuse and Addiction Treatment Programs at Brighton Hospital |
